Hunt Midwest, a commercial real estate company based in Kansas City, announced Feb. 17 it will develop Fort Prince Logistics Center, a 476,000-square-foot, industrial project on a 47-acre site at 1090 Fort Prince Blvd. in Lyman.
The project’s features include:
- 189 surface parking stalls, which may be expanded to 385
- Up to 125 tractor trailer parking stalls
- A 135-foot-deep truck court
- 48 dock positions with a 36-foot clear height
- Mechanical dock equipment
- Seven-inch concrete slab flooring
- An ESFR sprinkler system
- Motion-sensor LED lighting
“Hunt Midwest chose Fort Prince as our first spec project in South Carolina because we were drawn to the highly skilled labor force that has been developed throughout the corridor,” said Hunt Midwest Senior Vice President of commercial real estate Michael Bell. “Fort Prince’s proximity to BMW’s facilities and FedEx — including its ability to reach up to 244 million customers within two-day shipping — are drivers that will greatly benefit a diverse group of tenants.”
Construction on Fort Prince Logistics Center is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2022.
