Representatives from Prisma Health, Fountain Inn Mayor GP McLeer, state Rep. Mark Willis and Greenville County council members Lynn Ballard and Butch Kirven gathered Oct. 19 to break ground on the hospital system’s $9 million, 15,000-square-foot facility at 200 N. Nelson Drive along the city’s Highway 418 corridor.

The facility will be home to up to 10 adult and pediatric primary care providers and will feature:
- 24 exam rooms
- Radiology services
- An on-site laboratory on-site
“As the Upstate continues to grow, we as an organization are constantly looking for opportunities to locate our practices to serve our community, especially when it comes to primary care,” said Prisma Medical Group CEO Scott Sasser. “We are really excited this location because it not only establishes our practice in Fountain Inn, but it brings our front door of Prisma Health to the I-385 corridor and Fountain Inn.”
Although the permanent facility is under construction, doctors will begin seeing patients in a temporary building on Oct. 20. Patients may contact 864-522-6270 to schedule appointments.
