Spartanburg will welcome its first food hall early in 2024 with a project being developed on the East Side by Fountain Inn-based Freedom Commercial Real Estate.
The project is located at 2600 E. Main St. on the site of the old Le Baron restaurant and near Spartanburg High School.
About 7,000 square feet of the building’s total of 13,500 square feet is being dedicated to the food hall, according to Ryan Robertson, managing partner with Freedom Commercial Real Estate.
So far, Colorado-based Ziggi’s Coffee has signed on as an anchor tenant and will lease 2,000 square feet on the building’s left end.
Robertson said offerings under development for the food hall will include smash burger, pizza and pasta, and bar/taproom/cocktail concepts.
“We’re excited to introduce this concept to Spartanburg,” Robertson said. “I think this is … the wave of the future.”
