S.W.O.R.D. International Inc., a manufacturer of unique, purpose-built small arms and defense equipment, announced Nov. 15 it will invest $9.5 million to relocate and establish its manufacturing operations at 231 Beverly Road in Greenville.
The investment is expected to create 55 new jobs.
“S.W.O.R.D. International is extremely excited to join the Greenville community as we expand our operations to support our military and law enforcement professionals,” said S.W.O.R.D. International vice president Jason Hamilton. “Several locations were considered during the course of this project, but the community and culture of Greenville made our decision easy.”
The company will use the 44,000-square-foot facility to enhance and expedite production, testing capabilities and distribution.
Construction to upfit S.W.O.R.D.’s new facility is expected to be completed by January 2022.
