Table 301 restaurant group has revealed plans for a new restaurant, The Jones Oyster Co., planned to take over the former location of Soby’s on the Side at 22 E. Court St. in downtown Greenville.
The plans, which are still preliminary and require approval from the City’s Design Review Board Urban Panel, call for a half-wall garage door to open to give the restaurant an “open-air feel” with electronic accord-fold window panels.
The name of the restaurant is an homage to the old Jones Furniture Co., which occupied the space in decades past.
For now, Table 301 owner Carl Sobocinski is keeping quiet about the details for the restaurant, but check back with the Greenville Journal in early July for more details.
Plans for the restaurant will go before the DRB on July 7.
