Greenville-based nonprofit Mill Village Ministries announced Jan. 10 it received a $300,000 investment from ScanSource, a market leader in specialized technologies headquartered in the Upstate.
“We are so thankful for the incredible support of the ScanSource Charitable Foundation,” said Mill Village Ministries’ Executive Director Dan Weidenbenner. “Our new Mill Village community hub will unite our social enterprises under one roof to significantly serve more Greenville County residents. Through this generous partnership, we look forward to increasing our capacity to serve our community with an even greater impact.”
In 2021, the ScanSource Charitable Foundation established a “spotlight partnership” with the nonprofit, which included a $100,000 contribution per year. The partnership helped Mill Village purchase and develop a new permanent hub in West Greenville that features a 14,000-square-foot building to house a FoodShare distribution hub, entrepreneurial and youth training center, a full-service Village Wrench bike shop, and office space.
