Modal Coffee & Hostel will close its coffee shop in December 2024 to grow its lodging operations in March 2025, the business announced Sept. 6.
Following the café’s closure, Modal will continue under the name Modal Guesthouse and its owners plan to keep the lodging portion open and operational. The business plans to close from January to March for lite renovations. Upon reopening, Modal will have four private rooms and a large dormitory room equipped to accommodate 12 guests.
“We are not shutting down; rather, we are restructuring our product offering and operations in 2025 to better align with our long-term goals and market demand,” said Joe Hindman and David Stone, co-owners of Modal, in a statement. “Modal Guesthouse will continue to provide the same high standard of hospitality and comfort that our guests have come to expect.”
Modal’s operating hours, staffing and hostel accommodations will remain unchanged through 2024. For more information, visit staymodal.com.
