A new music venue and event space is making its way to South Main Street. The project, Seratonic Venue & Lounge, will be brought to Greenville by Auro Hotels into Camperdown Plaza next door to Paloma.
It is expected to open in the second quarter of 2025 and is expected to come with a new approach to event spaces – one that emphasizes the connection between exclusivity and community in music lovers while also offering an event space for celebrations.
The name was coined by Auro Hotels’ team in an effort to describe the brand.
“We wanted to create a name, with its own meaning in a very targeted way,” said DJ Rama, CEO of Auro Hotels. “Seratonic is a melding of two forms: a chemical compound needed for happiness and the acoustical texture of sounds. The combination of these two isn’t all that Seratonic has to offer, but it is a large part of why it just feels good to be there.”
The venue will be eclectic – somewhere that can house a corporate event, wedding reception or a concert.
The renderings shows an opulent, earth-toned lounge accompanied by chandeliers and a gently-lit atmosphere.
The space will hold a capacity of roughly 250 with a stage and viewing room. The venue will also include a green room intended for use by visiting artists or for corporate meetings. The space includes a full food and beverage program with catering component.

In an Oct. 11 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, AC Hotels’ general manager John Deck said roughly 80% of the space will be used by the hotel for planned occasions like weddings or corporate events, with 20% of the space acting as a music venue when not utilized by the hotel.
Seratonic will be located below at 355 S. Main St. in Greenville below AC Hotel in the Camperdown development in a long-since open space.
