Ameris Bank plans to open a new branch at 300 E. McBee Ave. in downtown Greenville.
The Atlanta-based bank will occupy a portion of the building’s first-floor space to create a new full-service retail branch. To streamline operations, Ameris Bank’s commercial banking and mortgage teams will also relocate from the bank’s office at 301 N. Main St. to the new location.
Ameris Bank aims to move into the new space on or before July 1.
“The investment in this new location at 300 East McBee reflects our commitment to serve the Greenville community with best-in-class banking solutions,” said Ameris Bank South Carolina President Richard Sturm.
Hughes Commercial Properties is wrapping up a $38 million redevelopment of the Class A office building on McBee Avenue. Harrison Hughes, executive vice president of Hughes Commercial, said they are proud to welcome Ameris Bank to 300 E. McBee Ave.
“The bank’s presence adds to the energy and diversity of the businesses within the building, making it a key destination in downtown Greenville,” Hughes said.
Ameris Bank will be located across from STIR Greenville, the building’s new bar and restaurant opening in June. The building’s other tenants include real estate lender Lima One Capital and Prisma Health.
