Less than a year after its opening, Uki Bowlz announced it will add a second location. The downtown Greenville açaí and coffee shop will open at 2615 Woodruff Road, Suite 200.
Owner Camila Franco expects a mid-October opening just after Bank of America Fall for Greenville where the smoothie shop will set up as a vendor.
Franco made the announcement on social media.
The second store will be a smaller space – roughly 400 square feet – but with the same menu as the downtown shop. Franco said she was approached about the space three weeks ago and decided she needed to seize the moment.
“We weren’t looking to expand immediately,” Franco said on Sept. 9, “but once the opportunity arrives, you kind of have to tackle it and just do it.”
Uki Bowlz first opened a 3 E. Park St. Sept. 23, 2024, just days before Hurricane Helene struck. Unable to hold a grand opening in the storm’s aftermath, it held a celebration June 28. Franco hinted she’s eyeing more expansion in the future.
“Our plan is to keep moving towards the coast,” she said.
