Illinois-based Rural King will open its first South Carolina store in Spartanburg Oct. 17.
The store will be located at 205 W. Blackstock Road in Westgate Mall. The rural lifestyle superstore sells apparel and farming goods. Visitors can find brands like Ariat, Carthartt or Wrangler in clothing, and appliance brands such as Blackstone. It also sells animal feed, home decor, pool items and more.
Rural King first opened in 1960. The store is known for offering free popcorn and coffee to its visitors.
“Spartanburg is the perfect place for Rural King’s first store in South Carolina,” said Rural King CEO Steve Barbarick in a news release. “We look forward to becoming part of the fabric of this rural community by creating jobs, supporting local families and offering the products our customers count on every day.”
