Tipsy Taco at 14180 E. Wade Hampton Blvd in Greer announced its closure Dec. 31. It will be replaced by Capri’s Italian Restaurant.
The locally owned Mexican and taco franchise partnered with Capri’s to renovate the location, which is expected to open in February. In the meantime, Tipsy Taco is focusing on expansions in Hendersonville and Brevard, North Carolina.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the Greer community for the years of support, memories and moments shared within these walls,” the restaurant group said in a released statement.
Tipsy Taco has two restaurants in Greenville off Pelham and Woodruff roads, as well as locations in Travelers Rest, Duncan, Simpsonville and Seneca. It closed two locations last year in Easley and on Augusta Road in Greenville, which later become The Pharmacy at Augusta.
