David Atchley and Karee White have joined forces to launch AtchleyWhite + Associates, a Greenville-based fundraising and strategy consulting firm.
The company, formerly Atchley Associates, helps nonprofit and for profit organizations across the Southeast establish successful revenue-generating and business-development strategies. The firm’s portfolio of clients ranges from a variety of industries including aerospace, higher education and entertainment.
Atchley founded the consulting firm in 2013 after previously working in higher education advancement. As an independent consultant, Atchley has helped clients raise more than $600 million and worked with over 40 organizations including the Buzz Aldrin Foundation and Clemson University.
“We are passionate about partnering with innovative companies and nonprofits that are truly living their mission,” Atchley said. “We don’t just create a plan and walk away – we execute the plan alongside the organizations we serve, partnering with them for the lifespan of their goals and creating a lasting impact.”
White joined the firm as a partner at the beginning of 2024, bringing years of experience as a fundraising consultant in the philanthropic and educational sectors. She most recently served as the chief advancement officer for the Liberty Fellowship, a South Carolina-based leadership program. Atchley said White’s energy, business acumen and global perspective are going to take the firm’s ability to support clients to the next level.
AtchleyWhite + Associates provides campaign management, fundraising strategy, business development and other services to clients. Atchley explained the firm also has many valuable relationships and connections that can be beneficial to the for-profit and nonprofit organizations it works with. For example, the firm has an extensive corporate network which includes Michelin, Bank of America, BMW and Milliken.
Over the next year, AtchleyWhite + Associates aims to raise $90 million to $100 million collectively for its clients. The firm’s partners also plan to focus more on working with clients in their own backyard. For example, the firm is currently securing corporate sponsorships for Trueline GVL, a new music venue coming to downtown Greenville.
“David and I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with such creative and mission-driven organizations and leverage our strengths to help them deepen their impact,” White said.
