A new ice cream spot is coming to Mauldin.
Hughes Investment Inc., the company developing BridgeWay Station, announced Aug. 2 the mixed-use development will welcome Yogi’s Cups and Cones, an ice cream concept by Upstate entrepreneur Yogi Patel.
Occupying 800 square feet on BridgeWay Station’s Main Street, the eatery will offer a rotation of more than 150 flavors of ice cream, including the classics as well as inventive seasonal and kid-friendly flavors.
Yogi’s Cups and Cones will also offer a variety of ice cream options such as:
- Vegan
- Low-fat
- Sugar-free
- Dairy-free
“I’ve spent many years in the service industry and it brings me joy when I can provide service that makes people happy,” said Patel. “At BridgeWay Station, I’m excited to create a place where customers of all ages can be happy and that I can be part of someone’s happy moment. I’ve been inspired by Phil (Hughes)’s passion and vision for BridgeWay Station and I knew from the beginning that it was an exciting opportunity that I wanted to be a part of.”
Yogi’s Cups and Cones is Patel’s first ice cream concept. Since he started his entrepreneurial career in the Upstate in 2002, he has owned and operated several gas stations as well as owned tap rooms and food trucks. He also created and sold Wine Express in Five Forks and is opening Charleston-based franchise Bohemian Bull in Mauldin in late 2022.
