Oak & Fire, the wood-fired pizza and burger concept from the team behind the acclaimed local restaurant Oak Hill Cafe, has closed for good.
The eatery made the announcement on social media and served its last meal on May 13.
“We are very sad but grateful to have had the opportunity to share amazing local food and our adventures with Greenville,” the restaurant said in a statement.
Located at 2510 Poinsett Highway, the restaurant originally operated as Oak Hill Cafe, serving intricate meals sourced from hyper-local ingredients. The restaurant earned early acclaim from diners and a James Beard Award nomination for Best New Restaurant.

But the eatery struggled to make a comeback after COVID, said Oak Hill Café co-owner David Porras.
The restaurant recently posted photos of the new activity on its nearby farm, although no word yet has made announced on next steps for the team.
