Another Greenville eatery is shutting its doors.
Oak Hill Café will permanently close at 2510 Poinsett Highway on Dec. 18.
“We are closing our doors after 3 and a half years on Dec. 18,” said Oak Hill Café Co-Owner David Porras. “It has been very difficult after COVID [and] we thought was going to be an easier comeback, but things work the way you think. We are very sad to make this decision, but we rather pay everyone and not owe money to anyone in town.”
While the restaurant is shutting down, Porras and Oak Hill Café Co-Owner Lori Nelsen are planning to launch a takeout concept called Oak Fire in January.
The new business will offer a variety of wood-fired pizza and burgers.
