UFC Gym opens its first South Carolina location on Oct. 8 in Greenville at 2435 E. North St. The gym will hold grand opening activities from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
At 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. staff will host a Kickbox-A-Thon in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise donations in support of Susan G. Komen’s South Carolina Mountains to Midlands Chapter. In addition, a Kids Bully Proof seminar will be held at 11 a.m. and a Women’s Self Defense seminar will be held at 2:30 p.m.
The 17,000-square-foot gym features a workout environment that uses training techniques inspired by UFC athletes, such as strength training and cardio machines, battle ropes, agility ladders, bag room and a large mat areas used for Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling and other martial arts for youth and adults.
“The reception to our gym from the Greenville community has truly been amazing,” Greenville franchise owner Brad Schulte said. “This gym raises the bar as the premiere fitness destination in the Upstate area and we’re excited to show off all the features and amenities on Saturday.”
