Dash EV, an electric car company, will open a facility in downtown Greenville’s Camperdown development, the business announced Oct. 12.
The space at 355 S. Main St. will serve as Dash EV’s headquarters and is expected to be operational by mid-December.

The company is unique for the style of electric vehicles it creates. Rather than attempting to replicate a typical-sized sedan or SUV, as companies like Tesla and GM have made their focus, Dash EV specializes in street-legal, low-speed electric vehicles.
Starting at $9,500, Dash EV vehicles are a lower-cost model that aim to compete with golf carts, offering what is billed as a safer alternative with high-strength aluminum used by most larger automobile manufacturers.
“Dash EV is thrilled to be establishing our headquarters in South Carolina,” said Dash EV Founder and CEO Roman Kuropas. “The state’s commitment to green energy and electric vehicles provides the perfect opportunity for us to provide an affordable, zero-emission car-sharing program for the Greenville and Clemson communities to get to school, work, grocery shopping and more. We look forward to expanding to other communities in South Carolina, and working with the South Carolina Research Authority, Governor McMaster and the entire state on innovating sustainable transportation — now and in the future.”
