The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission voted at its Sept. 20 meeting to table action on an on-site airport project after receiving only one proposal earlier this year.
The proposal received in March from McKibbon Hotel Group Inc. called for development of a $30 million, 129-room facility to include such features as 3,000 square feet of meeting space and a rooftop restaurant. The project would be developed between Concourse B and Parking Garage B adjacent to the terminal building.
Scott Carr, GSP vice president of commercial business and communications, said staff would present further information and options at an as-yet unscheduled commission workshop in the near future.
