Clayton’s Deli and The Pound Cake Man opened their doors in Greenville on July 26.
Located at 1628 E. North St., Clayton’s Deli offers a variety of hot and cold sandwiches as well as salads and side dishes, including:
- The Lower East Side – House made pastrami on rye with spicy mustard
- Havana Syndrome – Sliced mojo marinated pork, grilled ham, Swiss cheese and house pickles on Cuban bread
- Mushy Feelings – A breaded and fried portabella mushroom cap with Swiss cheese and a rosemary lemon aioli on a potato roll
- Back to the Grindstone – Salami, mortadella, capicola and provolone on a hoagie roll with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, banana peppers, pickled red onion and oil and vinegar
- Clayton’s fries – House made fries, gouda and cheddar cheese sauce and thin-sliced pastrami
The eatery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Joining Clayton’s Deli in the space is The Pound Cake Man, which sells various pound cake slices and cupcakes. The bakery will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
The Pound Cake Man has a second location in Clemson.
