JTEKT North America will invest $48.4 million to expand its Greenville County operation.
The addition to the facility at 1866 Old Grove Road, near Donaldson Field Airport, will enable to company to produce front drive shafts. The addition includes seven machining lines, two assembly lines and the capability to machine components in-house.
The expansion will create 87 new jobs and is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2025.
JTEKT North America has 12 manufacturing sites, three technical centers and five distribution centers. It produces parts and tools under the brands JTEKT Automotive Systems, Toyoda Machine Tools and Koyo Bearings. Its regional headquarters is in Greenville.
