Maverick’s Donut Co., a restaurant chain based in Ottawa, Ontario, has opened its first U.S. location in Simpsonville.
The eatery’s menu includes apple fritters as well as a variety of cake donuts and coffee drinks such as espresso, dark roast, lattes and cappuccinos. The storefront plans to eventually serve soft serve ice cream, said store manager Gen Vivian.
Maverick’s Donut Co. is open:
- 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday
- 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday-Saturday
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday

The restaurant may close early if it sells out of donuts, said Vivian.
