A new neighborhood dining and bar concept will soon be opening near downtown Greenville, promising “all are welcome” as its message to the community.
Other Lands is an upcoming neighborhood cafe, brewery, bar and restaurant that will be taking over the former Parkersway Foods Deli at 731 Rutherford Road.
Taking shape
After purchasing the location nearly two years ago, Other Lands owner Mel Wilcox said his vision for his dining concept is starting to take shape.
The property on Rutherford Road has had hiccups along the way, Wilcox said, such as a 14-month-long process to obtain construction permits from the city of Greenville.
But now with construction underway and an estimated opening in summer 2023, Wilcox is planning for Other Lands to serve as a neighborhood cafe serving beer from a fully operational brewery next door.
Rotating menu
The eatery will also offer a rotating menu with items priced on average between $5 to $10 and feature indoor seating as well as a “garden” area for outdoor dining.
Other Lands also plans to initially offer six original beers on tap as well as wine and other beverages.
