Greenville Transit Authority continues to search for a buyer for its property on Augusta Street in downtown Greenville.
Colliers, in conjunction with Christopher David Properties, was recently hired to assist with the sale of the approximately 2.85-acre parcel next to Fluor Field. The property at 106 and 154 Augusta St. is zoned MXS-D, allowing for various types of mixed-use developments.
Greenlink’s 11,000-square-foot maintenance facility currently occupies the property but is moving to a new facility at 205 Arcadia Drive. According to the city of Greenville, the organization’s administration has moved into the new location. Bus operations are expected to relocate in early 2025.
GTA initially released an invitation to bid for the property in October 2023. Parkway Corp, a Philadelphia-based real estate and parking development firm, placed a $10.7 million bid for the property a month later. The company backed out of the sale in January.
Frank Hammond, a Colliers shareholder and broker, said the goal is to identify a buyer who shares the vision of enhancing the area and will contribute to Greenville’s continued growth and success.
“Colliers looks forward to working closely with the Greenville Transit Authority and prospective purchasers to find the right fit for this location,” Hammond said.
The deadline for offer submissions for the site is December 10, 2024. For more information, visit colliers.com/en/properties/for-sale-%C2%B1285-acre-development-opportunity-in-greenville-sc/usa-106-and-154-augusta-st-greenville-sc-29601-usa/usa1142818.
