This 355-acre destination property offers a space to get away and come together
The world of work has drastically changed over the last two years, but there’s a way to keep up — while actually slowing down.
According to sport and performance psychologist Dr. Drew Brannon, partner at AMPLOS, one of the clear drivers of high performance is making time to slow down in order to speed up.
Now AMPLOS has the perfect place to do just that.
Mill Pine is a 355-acre off-site destination the company opened in April 2022. Clients can simply rent the space or have an executive leadership experience tailored for them.
“Research shows that our brains behave differently when we’re outside our everyday environment,” Brannon says. “We call it ‘healthy disruption.’ We’ve found that when we can get people outside, they’re more willing to ask deep questions and take an honest inventory of themselves and their teams — and there’s no better place for personal and professional development than out here with this incredible view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.”
Mill Pine, located in Liberty, is only 30 minutes from downtown Greenville, but its 4,000 square feet of meeting space and natural setting are far removed from the typical rented conference room. A sporting clay shooting area, four-wheelers and hiking trails add to the appeal, and the expertise of the AMPLOS performance psychologists makes for team-development events that create a lasting impact. With a client list including the football programs of Clemson, Georgia and Oregon, the AMPLOS team has had the opportunity to support high-performing athletic teams, but its work also spans the corporate realm in a wide array of industries.
Milt Lowder Ph.D., partner at AMPLOS, says the AMPLOS vision has always been to create a setting in which teams could get away in order to come together.
“Over the entire history of our company, we’ve brought a different lens to how we think about people’s growth and helping teams become their best,” Lowder says. “Mill Pine is our latest addition and way of pushing the status quo. We recognize that many companies are bolstering their retention efforts and know that investing in their people is vital.”
“To keep the best employees, you must invest in their growth. We created Mill Pine with that reality in mind,” Lowder adds. “Everyone is busy these days, so there’s a real temptation to just stay on the treadmill, but the highest performing organizations in the world are taking a step back from the daily grind to focus on developing their people.”
To reserve time at Mill Pine this fall or in early 2023, contact AMPLOS at info@millpine.com or 864-241-5444. A team member will be happy to provide more information about half-day, full-day and other options and discuss how to create the perfect experience suited to your group.
