BridgeWay Station in Mauldin is adding City Market, a food hall concept by Dine Upstate.
It will be the largest food hall in South Carolina, according to the developers, with 9,500 square feet of downstairs space and a 4,000-square-foot rooftop.
The rooftop will include a bar and stage overlooking the development’s Italian-inspired piazza, offering patrons a view while they sip or listen to live music. Lovers of rooftop bars will have to wait until spring for that to open.
The food hall includes six walk-up eateries: Bula Bula Bowl; BridgeWay Pizza Co.; Boba Ocha Tea Co.; Hotto Noodle; Bourbon St. Burgers at Bridgeway Station; and BridgeWay Public House.
Dine Upstate’s Angie and Thomas Wirthlin are behind the opening. They also operate The Warehouse at Midtown on Laurens Road and Bourbon St. Burgers in Simpsonville.
BridgeWay Station, located along Interstate 385 at Bridges Road, is spearheaded by Hughes Investments.
This comes shortly after the development’s first food-and-drink spot, BridgeWay Brewing Co., opened last year.
City Market will hold its official opening April 27.
