A new townhome and cottage community named The Kitson is coming to the Village of West Greenville.
The more than $15 million development will feature 24 townhomes and four individual cottages. It will be located on 1.4 acres along Pendleton Street, between Saco and Calder streets.
The project is the brainchild of the Parker Group, the development firm behind The Commons in Unity Park and Custom House Condos in downtown Greenville. Drew Parker, founder of the Parker Group, said they have wanted to do another project in the village for many years.
“This location is right in the center of the village, very walkable to all the shops and restaurants,” Parker said. “We’ll add to the walkability of the village and add the residential component.”
The two- and three-bedroom townhomes will be priced between $535,000 and $600,000. The separate two-bedroom cottages have not been priced yet, Parker said.
The initial stages of construction for the new development began in October. The project is expected to take two years to complete.
Parker said once the site work wraps up in January or February they will begin building the townhomes. The cottages will be the final structures built.
“We’ll phase the construction so we’ll start at the end closest to the village and work out from there,” Parker said.
